The Good Grief Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supporting widows in their journey of grief and loss. It serves as a marketing, public relations, and funding source for Good Grief Support Groups for widows. The foundation solicits donations and grant funds to provide financial assistance for the one time and/or emergency needs of widows, such as counseling, legal help, auto and home repairs, and more. Funds are paid directly to the provider of services with an average of a 50/50 split of costs with the widow.
Our well rounded board consists of two educators, an attorney, a pastor, a bookkeeper, a non-profit executive director, Support Group facilitators and members of the Good Grief Support Group.
As of October, 2024 the Good Grief Foundation has disbursed over $8000
in assisting widows and making a huge difference in their lives.

To Suzy and the Good Grief Foundation:
I want to thank the Foundation for their assistance in paying half of my plumbing bill! I had a frozen outside pipe during our cold weather on January 12th and no water. I was anxious and
worried about how I would pay the bill! And then I opened my email to see a message from you, Suzy, that you had funds available to help pay these unexpected expenses! I was so relieved and grateful.
I have been widowed since November 1, 2022 and I'm so happy I found you and Good Grief. You are uplifting
and inspiring and I plan to participate as much as possible. It gives me strength to continue my life, and I
want to help others.
Thank you so much for your good work and dedication!

I am extremely thankful for the monetary help I received from the Good Grief Foundation. I'm sure I'm not the only widow that has struggled financially during the first year after her husband's death. Many of us are faced with smaller incomes and extra expenses. Among everything else I was coping with, the breaker box took a nose dive. Electricians are very expensive. The Good Grief Foundation reached out to help, and I was blessed to get the assistance I needed. It's wonderful to have other women to share our stories with, but in addition, to know there can be financial help as well.
