The Good Grief Foundation, a 5013c nonprofit organization, is dedicated to supporting widows and widowers in their journey of grief and loss. It serves as a marketing, public relations, and funding source for Good Grief Support Groups tailored specifically to this demographic. The foundation solicits funds to provide financial assistance for the temporary needs of grieving individuals, such as counseling, transportation, housing, and more.
Since its inception, it has made a significant impact by disbursing funds to assist widows in various ways.
Additionally, the foundation operates a Good Grief Support Group that has been consistently empowering and educating widows for over six years, fostering a unique sisterhood where members support one another, model courage, and find stability in their constant adjustment to life after loss.
Our well rounded board consists of two educators, an attorney, a pastor, a bookkeeper, a non-profit executive director, and two members of the Good Grief Support Group.
Good Grief funds one-time needs of widows during their adjustment. i.e. paying a bill, emergency home repair, vehicle repair, etc...
In April, the Good Grief Foundation is financially helping three widows with the replacement of major appliances.

To Suzy and the Good Grief Foundation:
I want to thank the Foundation for their assistance in paying half of my plumbing bill! I had a frozen outside pipe during our cold weather on January 12th and no water. I was anxious and
worried about how I would pay the bill! And then I opened my email to see a message from you, Suzy, that you had funds available to help pay these unexpected expenses! I was so relieved and grateful.
I have been widowed since November 1, 2022 and I'm so happy I found you and Good Grief. You are uplifting
and inspiring and I plan to participate as much as possible. It gives me strength to continue my life, and I
want to help others.
Thank you so much for your good work and dedication!

I am extremely thankful for the monetary help I received from the Good Grief Foundation. I'm sure I'm not the only widow that has struggled financially during the first year after her husband's death. Many of us are faced with smaller incomes and extra expenses. Among everything else I was coping with, the breaker box took a nose dive. Electricians are very expensive. The Good Grief Foundation reached out to help, and I was blessed to get the assistance I needed. It's wonderful to have other women to share our stories with, but in addition, to know there can be financial help as well.
