testimonials

"...It was the best thing I could have done for myself! These women are my sisters..."

"My husband passed in March from a heart attack in our living room.  I was distraught and didn't think I wanted to live anymore.  A friend told me about Suzy and the Good Grief group.  I was hesitant at first.  I went to a meeting and wasn't sure I would be back.  My mom said to give it another try, so I did.  It was the best thing I could have done for myself!  These women are my sisters.  I feel so much love and support from them.  Now I don't think I could miss a meeting.  I am extremely grateful to my friend who introduced me to Suzy.  She is my angel."

..."words cannot describe the value of this group..."

The Good Grief Widows Group has been a real blessing in my life in many ways. The friendship, support, and companionship with the ladies is without words to describe how much it means. We widows understand what can only be understood through the experiences that we have shared - the loss of our other half.

I was especially blessed when I received much needed and appreciated financial help with a home repair  issue a few months ago. Rodents had destroyed all of the insulation under my house, this had to be fixed. At the same time, I was faced with an emergency Veterinarian bill.  I did not ask for financial help but it was generously offered to me and I thankfully accepted.

Words cannot describe the value of this group. As new widows arrive, we "veterans" are there for them to help them navigate through the feelings and new responsibilities that come after losing a spouse, and our funds are available when needed..
